TJH Counseling Mission Statement
​The mission of the Tolar Junior High School counseling program is to create a comprehensive school counseling program that follows the American School Counselor Association guidelines. The counselor will partner with all stakeholders including, teachers, administrators, board of trustees, families and the business community to create a safe and moral school environment which best supports the success of all student populations in the areas of social and emotional wellness and academics. The counseling program will develop and implement programs designed to inform and prevent unsafe behaviors, including: drug and alcohol awareness and prevention, abstinence and digital footprint awareness. The students will also benefit from post-secondary planning initiatives including college and career goal setting.
